The "Brut de Forge" Bowie is one of the 2011 ABS Board of Directors Knives by Master Smith Joe Keeslar and will be part of the American Bladesmith Society Auction at the 2011 Blade Show in Atlanta, Georgia on June 11, 2011.
"My ABS Board Knife description:
* Name: Paradox Series "Brut de Forge" in a South Western style Bowie.
* Blade is 10 inches in length.
* O.A.L. is 15 1/2 inches
* Knife was forged from #1075 and selectively heat treated.
* Handle is of curly maple with sterling silver wire and dogwood flower inlay, brass and copper wire were also used on the ABS
logo.
* Bolsters are of #416 stainless steel with dragon scales engraving.
* Spline of the blade and tang pommel have "vine file work and are engraved.
* Silver wire inlay on the handle is of a "S" and "C" scoll design on both sides of the handle with ABS logo on right side of handle.
* Sheath was made of 9 oz. vegatable tanned leather with a basket weave pattern and lined with 3-4 0z. lining leather , a 2 1/2 dia. concho with nickel dome rivets."
