Bill Moran Making a Guard for a Quillon Dagger

American Bladesmith Society Founder William F. "Bill" Moran, Jr demonstrates his technique for making and attaching a guard to a Quillon Dagger. This is a clip from his DVD "Handles, Guards, and Sheaths" where Bill Moran demonstrates techniques for making handles, guards, and sheaths for several different types of knives. He also shows his techniques for silver wire inlay on knife handles.

The full DVD "Handles, Guards, and Sheaths" is available in the ABS Store.

(Note: I know that there is a difference in the spelling of Quillon. The video which was filmed many years ago uses the spelling of Quillian. The ABS Board has recently adopted the historic spelling of Quillon.)
