Hello all......just curious as to how long your belts are lasting you. Mine sure dont seem to go very far! And is there any way to prolong belt life?

Thanks......Eric

Good question. I would like to know as well. The finer grits don't last long. My coarser grits from 36 up to 120 will last 2-3 runs before I move them to my handle work. After 1 or 2 runs I stay away from my recasso. Because they aren't as sharp... I'm not a pro though. My new best friend has been my flat disk because I can just get my paper at the hardware store or Harbor freight. Also those big rubber belt cleaners help to determine if the belt is clogged or dull. Anyone else feel free to jump in.

Thanks....and I'm looking at getting a 9" flat wheel from Beaumont Metal Works as well. I watched a fella use his the other day on a flat grind, and he had me sold!
