An excellent line-up, if I do say so myself. I am looking forward to it as always Gary.
There will also be a knife show and judging for knives in several categories.
See you in September. Jeez, sounds like a song.

I am looking forward to it Gary. I always have a good time there, except for those 2X4's last year, those were tough.
My demonstration will be heat treating a knife that will be able to pass the Journeyman smith performance test. I will bring a ground blade of 5160 that will be ready to heat treat and then do the quenching, tempering, and drawing back of the blade. This will be done with low tech equipment, a forge, quench tank, vegetable oil, and a propane torch. This is to show that it can be done with minimal equipment.
We will then proceed to sharpen and test the blade. Hopefully it will pass the test. If it does not then we can analyze as to why it did not, also a learning experience.
I encourage everyone who is planning on taking their JS performance test to come and see it, and the other great demonstrations.
I look forward to seeing everyone there.

That is a good thing Gary. I may need to see what he brings. Anyone who is attending and needs good steel should definitely plan on talking to Aldo. He has the best steel at really good prices. That is pretty much the only steel source I use anymore.
