Hello Everybody

The lord willing I will be testing for J.S in Atlanta in a couple months. I will be going to the ABS hammer-in at Old Washington. I am coming seeking critiquing of my five J.S knives. I would like to know who would be interested in looking them over for me. I know folks have a lot to do down there, and some will be real busy so by asking in advance I will be able to locate the folks willing to help. My fingers are crossed see ya there.

Thank you for your time in advance.
God Bless
Billy Helton

Billy:

I sent an email to ABS Chairman Greg Neely about your request and he replied as follows:

"Certainly. Have him look us up."

Billy:

I sent an email to ABS Founder and Journeyman Smith Judge BR Hughes whom I consider to be an excellent judge and he asked me to post his reply to you as follows...

Hi Dan,

Please relay to Billy that our ABS judging standards class will tentatively be taught at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at the Moran School. I suggest he attend. The class is not over until 5 p.m. and the dinner in the Park Gym begins almost immediately thereafter.

However, all five of the masters who demonstrate that weekend, plus yours truly, will be happy to look at his knives whenever they are not in or attending a class. He will have ample opportunity to have his knives checked, and I encourage him to have them examined by at least two of us.
