2nd Heartland Symposium- Dave Sloan won 2nd Place in the Cutting Demonstration
Dave Sloan earned 2nd Place in the Cutting Demonstration and ABS President Jim Batson presented the award to him at the American Bladesmith Society 2nd Heartland Bladesmithing Symposium which was held October 1 and 2, 2011 at the Washburn Institute of Technology in Topeka, Kansas.

The ABS Hammer-In featured training in both basic and advanced bladesmithing techniques with instructors: Mastersmiths Steve Dunn, Steve Culver, Brion Tomberlin, Dan Petersen, Russ Andrews, Jim Batson, and Founder B.R. Hughes.
