The 2010 TOMB Knife of the Year is by Master Smith Joe Keeslar. The model is a "Paradox Series of my Brut de Forge" in a Southwestern style Bowie. It was forged from a French file with a blade length of 11 inches and has an O.A.L. of 16 1/4 inches. It is handled in curly maple with sterling silver dogwood flower and sterling silver scroll pattern wire inlay on the left slab handle, and on the right slab handle the tomb stone and year 2010 are in sterling silver and the TOMB is in gold wire.
The top of the blade and the pommel end of the tang have decorative file work and are engraved with my "Vine" pattern. The bolsters are of 416 stainless steel and are engraved with a "fish scale" motiff. The sheath is of the southwestern period, tooled with a simple boarder pattern and I have added a Texas Star concho. The letters TOMB and the date 2010 are stamped into the leather then high lighted with gold paint.
