   When it comes to knives we most always think of the blade.  Even though the blade best defines the use of the knife, how well the knife performs is almost totally dependant upon the design of the guard, handle and sheath.  Because of the importance of these components this entire video, featuring Bill Moran, has been devoted to these critical aspects of knife making.

    This video covers the completion of three different knives,  one with a full tang handle, one with a hidden tang and the third the most complex of all, a spiral handle fitted  to a classic, Quillian dagger.  

    The video concludes with coverage of the making of sheaths, specifically the Moran style leather covered wooden sheath.
