The knife is a American bowie style with coffin handle trimmed in sterling. The ladder pattern Damascus blade was forged by Moran. The grinding and etching was done by Earl Jay Hendrickson. The file work on the back of the blade was by Joe Keeslar. The fossil walrus ivory handle and the sterling silver guard, pins and the sterling handle frame was completed by Greg Neely. The sterling is all hand polished. The leather sheath by Joe Cordova is embossed with the letters ABS and the sheath is also trimmed in sterling. The presentation box was by Hanford Miller. The quarter sawn oak box also displays a silver plate with the names of all of the past and present board members for the first 25 years of the ABS. This is a first for several things. It is the first Damascus blade offered, the first ivory and the first time we have put a display box with the knife. The first 25th anniversary. This is not only a highly sought after collectible, but it is also an historical record of the ABS board.

The Texas "Spotted Lopper" has a blade a little under twelve inches and is made of Bruce's spotted Damascus Pattern which consists of 192 layers of L6 and 1084 steel. The fittings are made of nitre blued 1018 steel. The ABS Logo was scrimshawed by his wife Tracy Fuller onto the beautiful walrus ivory handle of this Bowie knife.
